Here’s our recommended list of yachts to charter this holiday season.
Built in collaboration by the French company, Van Peteghem Lauriot-Prévost, and Italian design maestro Nauta yachts, the Lagoon 560 catamaran—a dual hull sea vessel—is equipped with the finest marine gear that helps the yacht pick up speed on the water. It has a total of five cabins, and can easily host 10 guests, apart from the four crew members. With wooden flooring and upholstered furniture, the Lagoon 560 also has a well-equipped kitchen and floor-to-ceiling windows that offer an uninterrupted view from the vessel. While upper deck has a lounge with a mini bar, the lower deck features an open galley with large seating. The back of the yacht features three individual swimming platforms.

Jeanneau 45 Sun Odyssey
Another French yacht, currently anchored in Mumbai, the Jeanneau’s 45 Sun Odyssey is designed by European designer Philippe Brianda. It can host up to 12 people, excluding the crew, and houses three spacious cabins, with a lounge furnished with white furniture. The cabins on this yacht are located below the deck; they are spacious and are furnished with custom-made mattresses from Italy. The cockpit too is elegantly styled.

Ideal for long distance holidays, the Ferretti 550 is designed by Italian design house, Studio Zuccon International Project. The sporty sea vessel is fitted with a V-drive engine (mostly seen in fast-paced sport-fishers). Apart from the main deck that offers an uninterrupted view of the sea, the yacht also features a flybridge (a mini elevated deck above the captain’s cabin) where you and your guests can unwind at sunset. Complementing its white exterior are its wooden interiors, furnished with cushioned seating upholstered in fine leather. The yacht features a large lounge on the lower deck; the deck also has a single swimming platform.

Charter from: Oyster Crafting Experiences, Mumbai and Goa
Grand Soleil 45
This sailing yacht was designed by Argentinean naval Architect German Frers, and built by racing sailboat makers Cantiere del Pardo. Ideal for a family, the yacht is best for short distance trips; for instance, a ride from Mumbai to Goa. The Grand Soleil 45 is painted in white, and features wooden interiors complemented by beige seating covered in fine leather and fur. While the boat features a king size cabin, we suggest you spend maximum time on the deck, in case you wish to experience the high speed the yacht is known for.
